A small team with a diverse range of skills. Our first sauna was built for one of our founders, Mairead Moodie, who runs her Ayurvedic practice in East Lothian, Scotland. Keen to add the therapeutic benefits of sweating to her practice and also on retreat with her, she had been searching for a mobile sauna to rent. With only the option of ‘pop up’ tent saunas available to her she had a conversation with our other founder, Kenny Mackenzie.

Kenny had previously specialised in converting vans into campers but was willing to have a go at a horse trailer conversion. Two weeks later their first Richardson trailer rolled into Kenny’s work shed and the journey began. That first sauna was built in between jobs over the cold Autumn and Winter months, with plenty of trial and error and tweaks in between. Today that beautiful sauna is the one you can see in all the images on our website. It has been the centre piece at both on and off site retreats and even been hired out for the odd wedding!

Keen to keep our business small, meaningful and responsive we only take on one build at a time so clients know we are focussed on getting their requirements just right. Our workshop is in the Scottish Borders.
